Day 8 (Sunday 21st December 2014)

So last night was definitely a lot of fun. Not only had I met a guy but I had also lost my virginity in the space of (technically) not even a split second. I mean, when time starts again all this will go by in a flash so it will seem as though no time has passed at all. I'm just saying that it sounds a lot better this way. Although, finding a guy and nailing him (sorry, for my crudeness but all I can think of right now is Alex) in seven days is still impressive (especially if you are the last two you know of stuck in a time stop).

Well, anyway, back to what happened last night. After we... did it, I lay cuddled in his arms and we fell asleep like that. When I woke up I found myself alone and for a brief second I thought I had imagined it all. Then I heard the sounds of someone cooking in the kitchen and before long Alex's head peeked around the door and he told me that breakfast is ready. Of course, at this point I was already awake and writing yesterday's entry. I had to quickly end it though because although breakfast did smell great, Alex was naked.

I'm going to skip ahead a few hours again (for no reason in particular) and lead into a conversation Alex and I were having about leaving the city to explore the other towns around the country, looking for others like us. There was bound to be someone somewhere in the world. After thirty minutes of intense discussions we had decided to search the country for others. If we found no others we would explore other countries. This all sounded easy in our heads at first but once we sat down and planned the logistics of it all we found how hard it would be to get to other countries when Australia was surrounded by water (yeah, probably should have mentioned earlier I'm Australian, sorry). We ended up deciding on boats because neither of us could fly planes. This, of course, meant long periods of time at sea but if we only travelled via boat when completely necessary we could work it out. For instance, instead of going straight from Australia to America (after New Zealand of course) we could head up from Queensland to Papua New Guinea and from there explore the rest of Asia before looking through Europe and Africa. Then on to America.

This was actually a massive task that could actually take us several years so we had to prepare ourselves for it. Of course, it was bound to be a very long time before we even thought of other countries for the time being. So, we started out by planning what we would need so that we could leave tomorrow for the rest of the country.

By 1pm we had a completed list of what we needed and we both headed out together (so if we got lost one of us might know the way [or we'd just get lost together but still, romantic (damn, again, I need to get over this romance stuff, I never realised I was so into it. I'm becoming one of those people [not that there's any problem with that (I should probably stop as the brackets are getting so damn many inside each other)])]) to search for what we needed. Our first stops were clothes stores to stock up on spare underwear, socks, shoes and clothing. Then we headed for department stores to look for games and stuff to keep us occupied. We also got a few movies and TV shows along with a portable DVD player that we could use. Finally, we also got some groceries (food, drinks etc.) and little knick knacks to make our journey as comfortable and safe as we could.

On our way back we scoped out for the best cars to use. We were looking for big vehicles with full fuel tanks that looked like they could hold what we needed. It also needed to be something I could drive. Alex, apparently, had no idea how to so he would be my navigator, acting as my GPS on our journey. We had nearly given up hope when we found one (why does that happen in every story or movie. At the time it feels so cliched and made up but in real life it's actually sort of realistic in a weird way) that suited our needs. We hopped in and headed back to our apartments where we had dropped off our materials as we went.

After a little while packing everything on board we decided to call it a night and head out in the morning. When we got to Alex's apartment we kept going up into the one I was staying in. I had nothing against Alex's apartment but mine was, to be honest, better than his (just saying). When we did arrive it was already 10pm by our time (I saw our time because world time was always going to be 6:43 on a Sunday morning) and we went straight to bed.

A little while later we laid back in bed, my head on Alex's chest, and finally realised what day it was. Sunday. That mean that it had already been over a week since time had stopped and life as we knew it had changed forever (I really need to get a grip on my use of cliches). Suddenly the mood became sombre but Alex quickly lifted it by telling a joke about a man he had seen frozen in a rather compromising position. Before long I had gained enough energy to retrieve my laptop and write this journal. Alex keeps trying to hurry me since he obviously wants to go for another round. I better go.

Until next time, this is EF signing out :)
