Day 13 (Friday 26th December 2014)

So I woke up on the floor with Alex this morning. Our backs are now sore but Christmas was a lot of fun. Today though we were back to our search. We were desperate to find someone else to share our time with. We didn't like to admit it but we were becoming a little lonely.

The first town we came to was much like any other although it was a little smaller. It also, like all the others, was dead silent. The second town was a small tourist town that was busy at the moment due to the Christmas season but was still dead silent. Everywhere we went were greeted by silence. Each time we called out all that we heard were the echoes of our own voices. Nothing made any sound except us. It was a very eery experience.

The third and fourth towns were much the same. No sound and nothing to do. We stopped at the fifth town to restock on supplies and to have something to eat but still we found no one. By the sixth town we decided to call it a day.

We stopped at a motel and dropped off our things before heading around the town and calling out. The main street was where all the shops were but it was deserted. Apparently no one in this town woke up early. In fact, the whole town was devoid of people except for two men and a dog who had been frozen halfway through a walk. Still though, there was silence.

We had a lazy dinner that night as we were still sort of full from our Christmas festivities and our lunch from today. Still though we managed to lie down on the couch together and watch some Family Guy before bed.

Looking back on this entry I can see that I haven't written much. That is because although we visited six towns today nothing much happened. I do write about almost everything we do but some days we don't find towns with interesting things to do. That's just life I guess, you can't have every day be exciting.

Until next time, this is EF signing out :)
