Day 12 (Thursday 25th of December 2014)

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Sorry for the bleak post yesterday but it was a dark day and I'm not going to sugar coat anything I write in this 'journal'. Alex accepts it and I hope you can too. As today was Christmas we decided we would take things a little easier today and enjoy ourselves a little more. It was sort of melancholy that we couldn't share it with our families but the plus side was that when time did start again we would only be 12 days from Christmas! Haha, we could have two Christmases!

We left the motel we stayed in after a rather enjoyable morning with Alex and myself around 10am. We'd gone to bed early the night before and so had waken up early this morning (it was Christmas after all). I had still felt a little sad but Alex soon fixed that.

We were excited when we found the first town to be a rather big one with a lot to see and do. While the movies were out of the question we did play another round of mini-golf followed by a few rounds of laser tag. We then stopped by a buffet restaurant that was open 24 hours due to the holiday season and filled up on a great Christmas lunch. After that we both split off to find the other person gifts. It was really sweet.

After about two hours we met back up at the buffet place to exchange gifts. I won't share what we got each other for two reasons. First because I want to keep that special moment between us and secondly because some of the gifts we got each other were of the adult variety.

After that we did a search of the town as usual (which took a little longer this time due to its size) and then headed off on the road again. On our way there we came across a holiday inn which we decided we would stop at and spend the night. It was only 3pm but it was Christmas. We spent the first few hours watching some DVDs but after dinner we utilised some of the presents we had given each other.

It was a lot of fun. Christmas was great and I'm going to keep this post short because Alex and I are about to continue in our fun with the presents, we just had to take a quick break.

Until next time, this is EF signing out :D
